The M3 Trench Knife was designed in 1943 to be issued to all U.S. soldiers in World War II that did not need a bayonet. Among nine manufacturers, H.Boker & Co., the U.S. subsidary of Boker, Solingen, also produced 31,300 of these knives. The original Boker M3's are now quite rare, and originals in good condition fetch can fetch $500 or more. That puts the original M3's out of range for most collectors, so Boker is offering this faithful reproduction of the original M3 Trench Knife. The blade is made of SK-5 high carbon steel and given a black finish. Each M3 includes a authentic M8A1 sheath. Each knife is individually serial numbered.
